    Sounds like a browser hijacker

Have you got any antivirus or anything installed?

Depends how determined it is ..... it might stop you installing another AV.

There are a couple I have used, but am not confident to advise others.

I know when I had one, I had to manually delete it from the registry.

Have you done these steps? The manual ones not the downloading of the adware removal tool http://www.techsupportall.com/solved...-removal-help/

May be an idea to do this in safe mode as well. Stop any unwanted programs running while it's being removed.

If that doesn't work another great piece of software is called ComboFix. This gets rid of pretty much anything and repairs windows if files are damaged. It's not quick. Can take a while to run but it gets the job done.

Re: uh oh its me again

In plain English - do a restore to the last restore point when your pc wasn't infected with the malware. That'll put you back to where you were.

Its likely installed malware upon a site you've visited. Can happen from clicking links on FB, for instance.

Thats the easiest option. Trying to get you to boot in safe mode is probably akin to me pole dancing

Re: uh oh its me again

I personally don't like using restore points. Some infections can spread across them, sometimes you don't know when you got infected so could potentially restore it again. Plus depending on last restore you can lose stuff you had. I like ComboFix because it can clean pretty much everything and repair any files damaged by it.

Re: uh oh its me again

I had to a "system restore" the other day. (Son had told me all about it during a previous panic!)

I installed an update to Adobe Flash Player and during the installation I received a pop-up telling me that the firewall had blocked some components. And, stupidly, I ticked the bit to allow this! Have never seen so much rubbish appear on the screen - pop-ups from all over the place. So, did a system restore and then ran the the Adobe update, but told the firewall bit not to allow the components. It worked fine!

In my defence, I ticked the bit about allowing the program through the firewall because I thought Adobe was a trusted product. But, all credit to Windows firewall!

And, Niddy, I am sure I am not the only one who would love to see you pole dancing
