  • Anybody know ?

I have a ships Decanter that was left to me ....

Last Christmas I filled it with Port drank most of it but left about 1cm in the bottom.....

A Few days ago I went to empty it out ready for the Christmas.... and was left with a nice red stain inside, on the bottom of the decanter

It's been soaking for the last 2 days in warm water but doesn't seem to be getting any better...

    Any ideas ?

then you can fill it and -even better- start to empty it again. hic.

You could try putting some dry rice in the bottom, as an abrasive, followed by some white vinegar and water. Give it a good swirl and leave it to soak, swirling it every now and then.
Steradent denture cleaner is a good one to try too..

Or, to remove the stain you could try sterilisation tablets mate
When Gold isn't enough, there is SA Gold! New to the forum and find the UE route a bit scary? Take a look at my diary here and judge for yourself. I am now saving the money each month that was making little difference to the balance and not a bit of difference to my credit file as a result of finding AAD.

Soda crystals diluted in hand hot water and soak for a few minutes, this is what I use for glassware
