    As for mortgages, some will ask, others wont.

    I made a point to speak to my broker about this at the time, advised him i had been but was no more.

    He said, he wouldnt declare it unless specifically asked to, which he wasnt.

      In my experience the question is always asked about bankruptcy and I cant think of a lender at the moment that will lend even to a discharged bankrupt for a good period of time.

      Before the financial collapse it wasn't a major problem though to get mortgages for even those that would newly discharged, but times have a changed!!!
