  • Number of financial accounts & defaults?

Just a quick question regarding default entries.
I know that when a debt is sold and the new owners start to report on the cra, the previous default is marked with a default satisfied date and balance £0 and the new owner carries on the reporting under its own name.

When checking callcredit I notice that it lists the number of defaults you have and also includes both the old and new owners. So if you only have 1 defaulted account that has been sold, although one will say default satisfied and balance £0, under the Financial Account Information it shows that you have 2 financial accounts and number of defaults 2 when in reality you only have 1 financial account and 1 default. Just wondering if this is right and do creditors get to see the number of financial accounts and number of defaults as say a debt has been sold on 5 times it will report that you have 5 financial accounts and 5 defaults which looks pretty bad.

No lender uses Call Credit as primary CRA. They use it alongside Experian or Equifax ordinarily. It's a known fact that Call Credit do things wrong (searches last 2 years etc).

Id not worry about anything on Call Credit. Lenders don't so why would you?
